The information provided by Convert (http://convert.mimas.ac.uk) is now very outdated, and a new service called GeoConvert (http://geoconvert.mimas.ac.uk) has been developed to replace, and expand upon the services provided by Convert.
GeoConvert provides postcode-related information, such as Indices of Deprivation scores and ranks, geography matching and geographical data conversion facilities. These are based upon analysis of the National Statistics Postcode Directory (NSPD), produced by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). GeoConvert is regularly updated with information from new releases of the NSPD in order to maintain the currency of its information.
